To meet the growing demands of the Institute of Technical Physics (ITP) in Karlsruhe, the existing single floor building had to be replaced. The new building provides two levels of office space adjacent to a triple high atrium which becomes the new main entrance for the Institute. Completing the ensemble, lab spaces are tucked in the basement floor which opens towards the inner courtyard.

This currently unused existing courtyard, approximately 2.000 m², will be the heart of the enhanced working environment.
