The Fondation ISREC laid the corner stone for the new building Agora Cancer Research Center located in Lausanne, Switzerland, within sight of the Lake of Geneva.
The new building will soon accommodate 400 researchers and clinicians, scientists and practitioners under one roof. Visual relationships both on the site and to the landscape beyond require a carefully defined building mass. The resulting sculptural character of the building responds sensitively to these site conditions while standing out from its heterogeneous surroundings.
The official groundbreaking ceremony took place on Thursday September 29th from 9am to 11am.
