Entory Home

Ettlingen, Germany

“entory home”, entory AG’s new headquarters, is located at the northern periphery of the small southern German town of Ettlingen. The site was formerly occupied by a military barracks.

The firm entory AG, a subsidiary of the Gruppe Deutsche Börse, wanted an administration building with a multiplicity of interconnected spaces for a staff of approx. 350 employees.

The new, low-energy office building provides for a rich variety of working methods with individual, group and open-plan offices, as well as numerous multi-purpose zones.

All workspaces are directly at the facades affording optimum use of natural light and providing staff with beautiful views of the surrounding fruit orchards and the gentle slopes of the Black Forest beyond.

The individual wings of the complex are interconnected across the hall. In the hall area, conference islands, offices, break areas and other common areas lie on various levels. The hall constitutes the communicative heart of the facility, open stairs, galleries, footbridges, etc. are overlaid there. Additional internal, open stairs in peripheral areas provide functional as well as spatial relationships between the stories of the respective wings.
