On Friday the 5th of October 2018 we celebrated the ground breaking for the Paul Winter Schule.
The ceremony was held in the western neighborhood of Neuburg, Bayern.
The district administrator Roland Weigert held a speech in which he described the building as a “showpiece”, from which not only the students will benefit, but also the whole community thanks to the double sports hall that will be able to house sporting events.
The school, as the Principal Sonja Kalisch underlined, will have room for 670 pupils, this way solving the problem of lack of space for the current 570 pupils that have been having classes for 10 years in containers.
The project is the result of a combined effort of Behnisch Architekten and ALN Architekturbüro Leinhäupl+Neuber.
