July 19th, 2018: Topping out of the Waldorfschule Uhlandshöhe, Stuttgart

On the 19th of July we celebrated the topping out of the administration building, the first of the two new buildings of the Freie Waldorfschule Uhlandshöhe. Located on the hillside not far from the center of the city of Stuttgart, the importance of the site is remarked by the fact that this is where the world’s first Waldorf school was founded in 1919 by Rudolf Steiner, father of the Waldorf Education. The decision to give the school two new buildings follows up a study conducted in 2014 that underlined the necessity for more space for the students and the staff.
