Behnisch Architekten received an honorable mention for the design of a new secondary school in Ingolstadt. Congratulations to our Munich competition team!
The competition site is located northeast of the city center, within an ecological important green belt. The competition task was to develop a new secondary school, a gymnasium with outdoor sports facilities and various other open spaces. The school, with 30 classrooms and a main usable area of about 5,839 m2, was to be implemented in the learning house concept. A youth center also had to be planned. An important aspect was to give the students a new understanding of architecture and to bring them closer to the topic of sustainability.
Thanks to our partners, Landschaftsarchitektur Brenner and Leicht for the great collaboration.
