Tsvetnoy Boulevard

Moscow, Russia

This large-scale mixed-use building complex was designed for a site at the northern gate to the ancient “White City“ of Moscow. Less than 2km from the Kremlin and the Bolshoi Theatre the development was to occupy an entire city block.

The proposal includes a rich mix of high-end residential units, international standard offices for both Federal Government and private use, and, over the lower floors, a series of quality retail spaces which flank underground links to the adjacent station of the Moscow Metro.

The massing of the development, with the four towers of differing proportions sitting above a differentiated plinth, responds to the scale of the historic neighbourhood. Generous courtyards, either open or covered, allow for both natural ventilation and optimum use of daylight. Communal facilities such as roof-top health club, restaurant and roof gardens serve as valuable assets for the residences.
