Situated in Hamburg’s emerging Elbbrücken district within HafenCity, Edge ElbSide offers contemporary work environments with open, flexible spaces that foster communication and collaboration among occupants. Instead of an initially required interior courtyard, our design centers on extroverted winter gardens distributed along the envelope, providing serene settings for individual work and meetings while enhancing the building’s energy efficiency. By incorporating natural elements and promoting cross-ventilation, these winter gardens play a vital role in reducing overall energy consumption, establishing Edge ElbSide as an eco-friendly workplace.
